Lovely tattoos.  Were they done at Tribe by Morag?  I saw you on the forum with your seahorse I think and discussing your sponsored hike.  I'm still thinking about getting one.

My seahorse/lotus was done by Morag at tribe, but my wrists by Rob from the same shop. If you do decide to get a tattoo Jenny, I would recommend Morag, she is certainly worth the three/four month wait!

Christina, where did you get the greyhound images for your tattoos? I've been looking all over the net but can't find anything I really like, apart from yours !

I took in images from a google image search, from here http://www.deviantart.com/ (do a search for greyhound & greyhound tattoo) and this photo of a picture thats hanging in my livingroom.

(the pictures were bought on ebay and framed for my christmas, so I would maybe do a search on ebay for greyhound art also).

Good luck x

thank you for that.
i had a look at the google images and found a couple i quite like.

am thinking of a greyhound outline (in pink) on one foot and a couple of small paw prints on my other foot. will post pics when they are done.

ps. are foot tattoos more painful than lower back ones??

I've not had my back done yet so wouldn't know I am afraid. My foot was the sorest for me so far, but I don't find tattoo pain that bad really. Being in labour is much worse giggle.gif

Your ideas sound lovely, looking forward to the pics!

Hi I have had my lower back tatooed and it didnt hurt that much, it was slightly more painful/irritating over spine, the tatooist had put local anaesthetic gel over the area to be tatooed before hand then covered with cling film for 5 mins. I think you can get anaesthetic gel from chemists - it may help. Hope this helps.

Excellent tattoos. As for back tattoos, my tattooist (Paul at Kaya) didn't suggest anaesthetic gel - would have been a far more enjoyable experience if he had! Still, the end result is still just as good.

Nora, I can't believe the '50' thing weirdface you do not look that age, I'm far too much of a jelly to get a tattoo, but if they keep you as young looking as you, I could be temptedwink

Same here !!  I am not into tattoos at all.  Unless they were the wee transfers you get in a lucky bag, that you put on with a sponge and water!! That way, when I get fed up with them,  I can wash them off!!

But seriously, I think it's all about whatever makes you happy and you should go for it!  Life's too short, get your tattoos and be happy !
Marian.

Love the tatoos but not something I would be brave enough to do.  And tho I have had two daughters I didn't do labour pains with either.  So think I will give this a miss as well lol

I did it ....... and boy was that an experience. The tattoo only took 12 minutes to do but I have never had such a strange feeling of discomfort (not pain) my teeth felt as if they were watering and I did not like it one little bit.Saying all that I am more than pleased with the result but I will not be repeating the performance. Here is the proof hope you like it. biggrin Nora
