My family and I took to the hills today and had a fantastic walk.  Weather was perfect, views were spectacular and dogs had a ball!  The photos below say it all.

A well earned rest!

Made it to the top - at last.

Lovely photos!

Made me very jealous - when my mum in law was still with us we used to visit Dunoon  (and her) on Sundays and walk our (and her) dogs!   Never made it that far up though!!!! (had to go back for the Sunday roast!!!!!).

There's nothing to beat that feeling of getting to the top, is there?

Maybe see you there some weekend!

What fantastic scenery, the dogs and you must have been well excercised that day. Scotland is such a beautiful country, your dogs are gorgeous. Nora

Looks like the weather was good for you

The weather was great and surprisingly warm (as can be seen from the colour of my face although that was more to do with the uphill exercise than sun).  Next time we go up there, we're going for the summit of the hill which is only another hundred metres or so up.

The wee curly headed spaniel is my brother's dog Dougal.  He's a bit unruly and can be a bit of a handful.

It's not that bad as long as you go the way we did.  I wouldn't have fancied trying to walk up the path that we came down - it was mega steep in places.  The climb is well worth the view and we did cheat and have lots of little breaks for Wills (my diabetic boy) and us somewhat slower two legged walkers!

I spend my holidays in Dunoon, having bought a caravan there just after we got Amber.  Even though it is stunningly beautiful, I still get asked where I'm going for my holidays!  If only they'd give Scotland a chance!
