CAN COLLECTION - MARKS & SPENCER, ARGYLE STREET, GLASGOW 
SATURDAY 17th MARCH 2007

Once again the lovely people at Marks & Spencer have allocated GAL a date for a can collection. 

Not only is this a great location, but it is the Saturday before Mothering Sunday, so the town should be extremely busy!

Last year's collection was very successful not only for the amount of cash raised, which is of course vital to GAL's continuing work, but also for the amount of awareness raised.  There were also a couple of dogs homed as a result of interest on the day.

If you can spare a couple of hours then please get in touch with me either by PM or email me at joymacd@hotmail.com

Don't worry if you don't have a hound, any help you can offer will be very much appreciated.

Well I want to thank everyone who came out today as we did a GRAND TOTAL OF

...... £500!!!!

Joyce was great as usual organizing about 13 of us to brave the rainy and windy day but it turned out great!

Thanks to Helene & Bill (and their 2), Alexis & Ann (and their 2), Paul, Rhona and her baby, Helen, Denise & Martin ( and their 2), Tracey & Lindsay (and their 2), from Joyce and I for another sucessful day for GAL!

I came home and after a cup of hot soup to thaw me out, I slept for 3 hours! 

Must have been too much after the exertions of the previous evening at the Auld Hoose!!

GAL is now £1,100 better off though, and that is the main thing.

I would also like to say a huge thank you to all the can shakers at
M & S. 

Thanks especially go to Paul, who was there from the start to finish.  Hope you've managed to defrost!

Here's to the next event!
