Sounds like someone stole him for coursing or such and then decided he was of no use and dumped him. Poor dog, you wonder how they can ever recover from such horrendous treatment but they do and I hope Alfie finds his forever home where nothing like this can ever happen to him again.

Bless the vet practice that saved his leg free of charge. That poor dog - makes me ashamed to admit that I am the same species as the monster(s) who did this. I hope Alfie gets a wonderful new home soon and can put this sorry ordeal behind him. As for his kidnapper - I hope you get what you deserve too!
