I take by the lack of replies that we all have big heavy dogs lol My Millie is 30kg and Willow is 33kg. I have seen one or two really dainty wee greyhounds though so there must be some out there Belle sounds like a Dainty wee soul
I think our Sally is about 25kg, been a while since she was weighed but the vet seemed to think that was about right for her size. Dan on the other hand is a big boy, 36kg(ish) last time he was weighed. I certainly feel the difference in their sizes when lifting them in and out of the bath!!!
Florence is 26kg that why she's got the nick name 'skelf'. The rest are all average Abbey 30kg, Kai 32kg (was at the vet last night), Dexter 33/34kg (pure muscle, not brain power!)
I would love to meet Tom to see what he's like in the flesh. (probably hides the kgs well )
Cara is a real wee skinny pants, was 25kg, now 27.8kg. She only eats meat (thats human food, not dog food) Roast pork, chicken, turkey or beef. I try and hide a handfull of Beta puppy food in a steak pie for her, but sometimes I find the puppy food hidden in her bed later. I always swore there was no such thing as a fussy eater in the dog world, "If they're hungry enough, they will eat" I was wrong. She quite likes shortbread and cake, so I let her have more of these than I should. The vet says she is in tip top health, but has a poor appetite, and only eats if it tastes awfy good, or she is close to starvation. We all learn to adapt to our dogs needs, and to think we tell ouselves, it's us that train them!
Unfortunately my Jennas not a spritely thing, she's quite a small lurcher but weighs about 26 kilos, Angus' weight problems have been posted before but currently hes at 27.1 kilos
My Jack weighs in at 33kg. My vet hinted very nicely not to let him get any heavier!! He gets a little spoonful of bisto gravy in his Supa Greyhound food twice a day, with an added handful of chopped corned beef. No wonder he is getting a fatty !! Now he is too used to it. Hubby also keeps giving him little titbits throughout the day. A favourite is warm buttered toast mid-morning. The titbits are gonna have to stop! Marian
I keep Lenny reasonable leanish (not skinny, just nice) due to his arthritis etc and he weighs in at 32kg. Rosie is 17kg (20 1/2 in) and Ruby was 14kg (20in) but she's toned up a bit since then and is probably about 15kg or so. One of the greyhounds I had before Lenny (died) was 40kg. His racing weight was between 38 and 39kg so a big boy. He has skin issues and was bathed twice a week. Back breaking stuff!!!!
