The Awareness Day will be held at the Findlaystone East Logde Kennels in Langbank on Saturday, March 24th from 11am to 3pm! There are about 20 lovely dogs that are in need of a permanet home! Come meet them and take them out for a nice walk. Hopefully the weather will be nice! But if not the dogs would sure love some company!!
In addition to the dogs, we will bring along the GAL shop for those that are looking for great EASTER gifts to give family and friends that have the 4 legged children and of course we will have some yummy bake goods as well! ( I'll bring my gingerbread & Carrot cake too).
If anyone is interested in helping out - please send me an email to linda@gal.org.uk !
Jennifer (Millie and Willow) and I went along to the awareness day yesterday and had a really nice afternoon. The weather was great and everyone was really welcoming to us "easties". Linda that Carrot cake was amazing.
It was great to see Millies brother, Jamie.
Our dogs slept all the way back and most of the night too.
Some piccies. Willow, Sunny and Millie.

Great piccies Landess. Hadn't realised you'd taken pics of them in car, take it that was on the way home as they looked pooped?
The food was lovely Linda mmm and thanks Lorna for the collar (millie is wearing pics ) and the tassles for her and Willow (cheque in post). Weather was really good, thanks to everyone @ GAL who make it such an enjoyable day
It was a beautiful day yesterday and I really wish I could have made it over. I had planned to but unfortunately had a funeral to attend - my step-cousin. It was another shock and funeral that we really didn't need.
It was a really nice day - we were very lucky with the weather which was gorgeous - I was outside all day in a tee-shirt (one of the new GAL tee-shirts available from the shop).
Everyone enjoyed the baking, the shop did well, and we received a few applications for adoption.
Looking forward to seeing everyone this Saturday at the Easter Collar Parade in Langside College.
We had quite a few application forms filled out so fingers crossed xx
Thanks to everyone who came along and supported the event and also bought from the shop and also a big thank you to Linda for her wonderful home baking.
Looking forward to seeing you at the Easter Collar parade on Saturday .....................
Here's a photo of Lesley and Ra modelling some of the new stock.
Hello everyone! Yes it was a great sunny day and luckily we did have quite a few people come along to look at the dogs as well as receiving a few applications! With some luck, Dave will be busy getting home checks done and some lovely dog(s) will find permanent homes!
Along with the great shop items and food (YES THERE WILL BE MORE AT THE EASTER COLLAR PARADE DAY THIS COMING SATURDAY - hint hint) it was especially great for the dogs.! We had a few volunteers that came (Fiona, Jacqui and Kathleen to name a few) to walk the homeless dogs. Many of the 22 dogs that were there enjoyed the day outside walking and mingling with people!
It really was a special day and just like the dogs - I came home and wanted to go to sleep too!
Hope to see everyone at the next event and we plan on bringing a few of the homeless dogs as well!
