Right folks. Need some help. We are off to The Dominican Republic at end of September for two weeks. Ist holiday since getting Lenny 7 years ago! He'll be 12 and couldn't stick him in a kennel so paying a little extra for him to go and live with my vet nurse who does dog sitting for the two weeks. Happy with that but does anyone know of a suitable establishment that isn't too huge and noisy that I could kennel Rosie and Ruby in? You're wondering why I don't send them all to same place? Rosie isn't happy being around a lot of dogs she doesn't know is a home enviroment and even less happy when they are a large bitch. This lady has female rotties. Ruby is fairly happy go lucky. I want somewhere that has decent size bedroom and run areas and of course heated. Also some sort of decent exercise area, a paddock or something that they can get off a lead. I'm in Bo'ness so Stirlingshire, West Lothian type of area please. Don't want something a million miles away exactly. I am planning to view some kennels in Cumbernauld that my sister has used. They sound good but quite a large noisy place.
Hi I'm in Cumbernauld and have heard other dog owners recommend Crowbank kennels if that's the one you are looking at. The dog owners Ive spoken to give them repeat business because they feel their dogs are treated well. I'm looking too, but would prefer something small, homely for Biscuit.
I don't know if you've found any suitable kennels yet but my friend owns boarding kennels in Penicuik. My 4 dogs go there, they have heated kennels, outdoor runs and get exercised in her private field 4 times a day. PM me if you would like the contact details Louise
Thanks for that. Rosie wouldn't like to stay with large dogs she doesn't know hence they aren't going to same place as Lenny. The kennels you mention sound ok though. I'm originally from that neck of the woods (born in Bilston) so will give them a phone. 4 times a day in the field is good as many are just twice.
Thanks for that number again Louise, you gave it to me before when we were going away and I phoned up. The woman was so nice on the phone, (unlike some I phoned). Sadly she was fully booked when I needed it but I'll keep that number for the future.
Jennifer this is the kennels I was telling you about but couldn't remember the name.
Landess.
