Ambers Mo Sorry for being a pest but can you tell me what the format of the night will be, the cost to have a reading, what kind of readings will be available, the likely waiting time to be seen, how many psychics will be there etc?
Thanks and soooo sorry for all the questions but some of my friends have been asking.
The psychic booked for the event will be on stage with the audience sitting at tables in the room, which holds about 160 (I think). It is a case of whoever manages to come through to the psychic on the evening. If you are lucky enough to have a connection, then Maureen, the psychic I have for this event, will tell the person certain aspects which will authenticate the connection, and pass on any messages she feels appropriate.
Helena Pringle has attended a psychic evening with Maureen and she says that Maureen is very good, and everyone had a great evening.
It is Maureen's intention to bring along another one of her psychic friends, which I'm sure will make for a really good night out.
In fact at an event Maureen did for the SPCA, she brought along 3 of her co psychics (if that is the correct term).
Last year's event, which was organised by Helena, with William O'Connor was extremely popular, however, his fee is quite outwith GAL's reach.
Please don't worry about asking questions. I would rather that, than have no questions and therefore no interest. So keep them coming!
I hope that there will be a good turn out for this event and that everyone has a good time. And of course, that GAL's Kennel Fund can receive a healthy boost as a result.
Fabulous Joyce thank you for that comprehensive explaination, sounds like a good night however these things spook me, especially in a large forum like that. All the best with the ticket sales, I'm sure it will be very popular.
Joyce, do you have any flyers for the psychic evening? I've told folk in work about it and there's a few who are really up for it. the flyers might help to jog their memory and might generate some interest from some of the other teams in the building too. cheers
Joyce any chance of you organising a night for us in the east! I'm sure all the girls I work with would be up for it, and I'm sure the growing group of East supporters would support the night. I love spooky stuff.

I would be up for this, i would love to join in these things but its just too far to come for a night out If there were thingsin the East in sure a lot of folks would come along. I heard a lot about the last psychic evening at Sha's and it sounded great fun
joyce, thanks for organising such a good night, the girls at work really enjoyed it. what a fantastic turnout! What was the eventual total? we thought we heard it was round about the £3000 mark, but the we couldn't hear over the noise as we were sat right at the back.
It is with much pleasure that I can announce that the amount raised on Thursday evening was £1450! A big thanks to Maureen Land, Ricky Martin, Billy, Linda and another lady whose name escapes me, for getting in touch with the spirit world on GAL's behalf. All of these psychics gave up their time to raise funds for GAL and only took expenses to cover travelling.
A huge thanks to Helena Pringle. Quite frankly, without her the night would not have run so smoothly. No one got past Helena at the door without a ticket! Helena was also responsible for selling a lot of tickets.
Linda also sold many tickets and brought along the boards. Thanks Linda!
A big thanks also to my work colleague and friend Pat, who sold the raffle tickets.
Thanks also to Anne Marie from Animals Matter who jumped in and helped Pat when the attendees were shouting for raffle tickets at the back of the hall.
The Burnside Hotel were very generous and gave us the use of the function suite at no cost. Thanks to all who attended and made the amount raised a very welcome addition to GAL's Kennel Fund.
Well done Joyce and all the volunteers who helped organise the evening (even the one you forgot). Delighted you had such a good night AND raised such a huge amount. Well done So sorry I couldnt make it, but guess your psychic knew that

I have no official GAL position. I am merely a very dedicated, and thankfully successful, volunteer member who decided to start organising events to raise money for the Kennel Fund.
There is nothing to stop you or any other member from thinking up ideas to raise funds.
I would be more than happy to assist and advise you with any event you decided to organise in your area.
I have had great fun planning the events I have organised so far this year. But also a few sleepless nights along the way!
That is an amazing amount of money. Well done Joyce for organising a great event for GAL - you obviously know how to sweet talk free stuff out of folk (I won't ask how you do it!) and well done to everyone else involved.
