Took Cas to the vet today as she has been nibbling and licking her back paw for a little while now and because of her paw fetish( will not let you look or touch her paws) I could not get a good look. She had to be sedated and they found she has Dermatitis of the paw, have came home armed with two different types tablets for the next three weeks and a gel which instructions read "apply up t0 3x daily.......if you can!!!!!"LOLhmm. So at this moment she is rather groggy and feeling sorry for her self cry.   P.S They clipped her claws at the same time.smile  Nora

Poor Cas, I'm sure she'll feel better for it although I can just picture you chasing her round the house trying to put the cream onsmile

Is this like athlete's foot? well she is very athletic.  I'll bet she can reach 40mph when you're following her with a tube of foot goo! biggrin.gif

Poor Cas - hope she's feeling a bit better!!  Good luck getting the cream on!  Tilly is a nightmare - she's ok when you put it on but as soon as you turn your back for a millisecond she's licking it off!

Me too!    Good luck with that - it's not easy if they have other ideas about what should be happening with their feet.  hmm

A schoolfriend of mine was exactly the same with feet. She once vomitted because I tormented her with my bare foot one day!

Hope Cas and her poorly tootsie gets better very soon.

Hope Cas's paw is getting better. I can just imagine you chasing her around the house to get the gel on it, Nora! Not easy with a dog that doesn't like her paws touched!

So glad you have found out why she has been chewing her foot - not so sure on how you apply "foot goo".. How about a tray of the stuff so she has to walk over it? Might cost a bomb in "foot goo" though..

Speedy sends a boisterous "hello!"

!!!!!!! I GIVE UP !!!!!!!!! Cas will not allow,no way to have that "goo" on. Fortunatly her foot is improving with the medication and the redness is all but away,I think?. She is now able to go back to the beach and we went to a fantstic beach today at Tynninghame not far from North Berwick, no cars hardly any people and only one other dog, the beach goes on for miles with large sand dunes and fields, little Rag was an angel off lead and Sasha just did her normal and  ran,ran and ran, my little pocket rocket. They are all now zonked in their beds , is,nt this weather just great. Nora

Glad to hear Cass is on the mend. Its a nightmare when anything happens to them never mind when its a spot you have to apply cream to when they hate getting it done
