It's been such a busy few months for us so huge apologies for not doing regular updates about the marvellous Mollie(that, and we wanted to keep her all to ourselves for a bit, lol!!!) Mollie is an absolute gem of a dog and I can't sing her praises highly enough. She is such an easy going girlie and really wants nothing more than a walk,a nice meal then somewhere cosy to curl up and fart gently!
We believe Mollie is about 8 or 9 years old but you wouldn't think it to see her play with Murphy, plus she will jump happily and easily into the car while Murphy stands around waiting to be lifted in...
She is also the ultimate cuddle monster and loves meeting people when out on walks as she can use her patented Mollie technique of gazing soulfully into their eyes and if that fails a little nudge with her nose usually works!
She can on occasion be a bit vocal when she sees another dog(not in an aggressive way, though) but this is improving all the time. Our cats walk right past her and she doesn't bat an eyelid,in the house and garden-but while we were out walking the other day she got a bit excited when a ginger cat came into view although this may have been exacerbated by Murphy lunging, pulling and barking like something demented on the end of a leadI despair of that boy sometimes. Mollie is brilliant offlead, generally sticking fairly close but will always come straight away when called if she wanders a bit too far. We have also started training her to come when called with a whistle which she is doing well with. She is perfect on lead and pulls very rarely and loves a good old plodge in the stream, especially in warm weather.
Things I Love about Mollie- The way she gazes hypnotically into your eyes The little skippy bounces she does when she wants a walk The grumbles she makes in her sleep The big big cuddles The odd sloppy kiss when she feels particularly affectionate
Things I don't like- Erm...nothing really
As a footnote,I must add that we now have a 15 week old puppy (a lurcher of course) who came to us in very strange circumstances and Mollie has been an absolute wee star with her. I was worried that the bounciness and chaos that surrounds young Jazz would maybe upset Mollie but she reminds me of my Grandma-she will put up with so much nonsense then give a stern telling off and fall asleep, lol!! Also forgot to say she can be left on her own with no problems and is not in the slightest bit destructive.
Any questions about Mollie, please feel free to ask
Molly looks fantastic and she is obviously thriving in your care, what a little sweetheart. Jazz looks so cute and Murphy as gorgeous as ever. Thanks for the update and hope Molly finds her forever home real soon. Nora

She is lovely. Is she still looking for a home.
Hi Jenny Have just read Dave's post about cat testing dogs and yes,it's the same Mollie! I would have to say that Mollie is a lot better with our cats than Murphy(who grew up around them and should really know better!!). When the cats are eating,Mollie sits patiently next to them waiting to see if they leave any tasty scraps-will see if I can photograph her doing it-and ignores them when they walk past her. Having said that, she did show a lot of interest in them when she first came to stay with us but not for long and she didn't really try to chase them. Mollie is still looking for her forever home. It will break my heart when she goes but I love fostering and know she will be placed in a lovely home, and until we get a bigger car and house I think 3 dogs will have to be our limit at any one time
The updates on Mollie are fab. She really is a lovely girl and she is nothing at all like her 8 or 9 years of age.
I can't believe that that is little Jazz there and being camera shy too, how he has grown and still obviously best pals with Murphy by the look of the photo.
Is Mollie looking for a home now? Just noticed she wasn't on the rehoming dogs section of the website and thought people might not know about her unless they come onto forum and read about her here Sorry if i have missed her, i did just have a quick look
