Lampshade For Harry
Permalink Closed

Tsst tsst - Harry has his lampshade on again as he's licked a wee flesh wound into something a bit bigger.

He's a bit like Hannibal Lectur in that when he tastes blood he gets excited and his jaws chatter a wee bit. Actually - if you take a look at my avatar to the left he's doing it again!

Poor Harryaww  Hope his wound heals quickly, as it's not the weather for lampshades!

I tend to pick at small scratches untill they get worst too.  I'll have to get myself a lampshade.  Its not clever, stop it Harry!

Despite the lampshade collar, Harry has still managed to get at the wound and has licked it bigger still! The only thing left is the muzzle all day and night for Harry...unless anyone else has any ideas?

Poor big Hazza Thats what their big pointy noses are for, getting to places other dogs couldn't - like out the end of the bucket or into people's pockets for biccies

I ended up muzzling Ziggy when he had dressings on his leg as he still managed to get at them with the lampshade on.  I think greyhound noses are too long for the lampshades to work.

Misty my lurcher recently had to get stitches in her side as she'd ripped it open when playing in the garden, ouchtears.gif!!! The lampshade was no use at all so I ended up putting one of my old t shirts on her and tying it at the waist, she wore it no problem and it stopped her getting at the stitches. I invested in a dog top which fits snuggly and did the job perfectly, and she looked cute, I'll keep it just in case of any other disasters. It's the wounds on the legs that cause the biggest problem!!!
