GAL Slip Collars
Permalink Closed

Hi all

It has come to our attention that there have been a couple of incidents recently where the stitching on the new style of Slip Collar we currently sell has come loose resulting in the collar breaking.

We have now instructed our supplier to add the additional security of two rivets to each new collar we order and sell to avoid this happening in future.

However, we would ask that if you do already have one of the new style Slip collars, that you check the stitching on it carefully (and regularly) for any defects. If you are at all unhappy or unsure about the quality of the collars' stitching , then please email me at shop@gal.org.uk and I arrange to inspect the collar and have it reinforced or replaced as we feel appropriate.

We would also point out that as a matter of good practice, all collars and leads should be checked regularly and replaced after a reasonable amount of time as stitching can wear away or become fragile (especially after exposure to water).

If you have any questions regarding this matter, please feel free to contact me via the above address.

Thanks
