Hi Folks it that time again for our EDINBURGH Walk next Sunday. Something most greyhound and lurcher owners enjoy and have in common is walking dogs and talking dogs well! what better way than at a great location such as Holyrood Park this Sunday 29 April at 12 noon! This is a fun informal activity where like minded people can get together to discuss all things four legged and exercise the pups at the same time. Also please take note that there is another event being held in Holyrood Park on this Sunday 'The Great Green Celebration' a festival celebrating the great outdoors. So the car parks might fill up quickly. WHERE?: Holyrood Park in Edinburgh, meet at the St Margarets Loch Car Park(the meadowbank end of the park!)WHEN?: Sunday 29 April 2007 at 12 noon Looking forward to seeing you there. **If you need further info on our Edinburgh Walks please contact me on siouxsie@gal.org.uk
Don't think we'll make this one or the next few due to the roadworks on the bridge - don't fancy sitting in the car for ages with Tilly moaning (She hates sitting in traffic and moans in protest!)
I was at my first monthly dog walk in March and I can't wait for this Sunday to meet some greyhounds again cos there are none where I live and I'm not allowed to go to the beach at Cramond just now. I've had my nails cut especially for the walk and have got some lovely doggy deodorant to wear!
Going to try and get sickbag Cara to the walk on Sunday, she does enjoy meeting other dogs. Masons Ma has suggested putting her on the back seat rather than in the back of the estate car. I'll be sure to cover everything in old sheets and hope for the best. Welcome to the forum Flash, I don't have a greyhound but Cara is very thin and greyhoundish.
Thank you to everyone that attended today. Again really good to have a few new faces today.
Numerous enquires, which meant application forms handed out.
Took some photos today, not had a chance to look at them yet. but what was even better was a couple of others took photos too, one being Eoin (Timmy - Slippy) and we know how good his photos are, so .............. Sheila and Eoin, I look forward to seeing them
Eion you are first class with the camera, could you let me know what camera/lense you were using? also if you get a spare min. could you do some airbrush work on me and Cara? If you could make me look a lot slimmer and Cara look a lot fatter, I could kid myself on for another few years. Anne
Thanks for all the compliments about the photographs.
Anne, the camera is a Canon 350D and the lens I was using is a zoom one, 70 - 300mm which allows me to take close up pictures even if I am standing a bit away.
Of course the real trick is having such photogenic dogs (and owners) as models!
