Hi Heather, good you have joined the forum, and I'm sure you will find a lot of help and advice with your new boy. Sounds like he is really just sussing out where he is at the moment! Lots of luck, and it would be good to have pics
Hello Heather and Harry. Heather, I am sure Harry will settle after a couple of weeks. I went through the same at the start. It's only a year since I got my lovely Jack. He had terrible separation anxiety at the beginning. Chewed some household items too. Would not settle and cried all night until we let him sleep in our room. It worked, still sleeps in our room, but, as quiet as a mouse all night. Chewing stopped within a few weeks too. He is as good as gold now, just takes time. Only thing is, he follows us around to heel all day long!! even to the toilet! It dosen't bother us too much, it's like me and my shadow!! Harry will be a different dog in a few weeks. Looking forward to some pics. Best Wishes, Marian.

Welcome to the forum! I'm sure Harry will settle down soon. As others have said, it'll take time for him to get used to the new routine. You can get lots of help and support from this forum about Harry's separation anxiety. Good luck with him and let us know how he's getting on.
Hi, welcome to the forum, when we rehomed Dexter he suffered seperation anxiety for a while, we bought a DAP defuser from the vet and it made a huge difference (or it was either just coincidence that he settled!).
