Folks, this is an urgent foster appeal, if anyone can take a 5yr old black male Greyhound called Captain we could really do with your help right now, we have till midday Saturday 5th May to find a suitable place for him to go, if you can help out in any way please email dave@gal.org.uk

His kennel mate Penny, aged 3, is also looking for an urgent foster home, again we really need her moved by tomorrow, if you can help please email me or contact the GAL info line on 0870 888 7277

Captain is a darling... although I'm not convinced that he knows that his name is Captain. Linda brought him over and we introduced him to our gang (Dylan, Prince, Millie and Kiera) and there were a few grunts but a lot of flirting from the girls (Kiera & Millie). His tail has hardly stopped wagging since he got here. biggrin.gif

We have friends staying over and Captain has preferred to stay close to Kieran (aged 10). Dylan, Kiera and Millie were in the living room with Lindsay, my friend and myself. Our friend's daughter Jade was on MSN (with Prince lying at her side) in our computer room and Captain was in the backroom in the big doggy bed beside Kieran aged 10.

I just hope no-one is put off by the fact that he is male, black and 5 years old. I've only known him for a few hours and know that he would make a fabulous pet, especially a companion for another greyhound/lurcher.

Helen and Lindsay - I'm delighted you're fostering Captain! What a great foster home he's got - and what big hearts you have! Looking forward to hearing more about him - it seems he's great with children and has a wonderful nature.

Siouxsie - Delighted that Penny is safe too!

Just catching up. Gosh Lindsay you and Helen are wonderful.Here's hoping that Captain gets fixed up with a forever home soon.
