Shaking all over!

Hi Everyone

Sorry I haven't been on line for a good while but life has just got so busy over the last few months.  Hope you and your hounds are all happy and healthy though.

I'll apologise in advance for coming on line because I have a problem and I'm hoping I can share it with you and that you are able to help me......

Amber (our almost 10 year old bitch greyhound) has, over the last week, started to 'shake'.  It's like she's cold and shivering, although that isn't what it is.  We only really visibly notice it when she's laid down but when you touch her when she's standing up you can also feel her shaking.  It doesn't seem to be a particular part of her body, although it's most noticeable around her neck when she's laid down.

Does anyone have any ideas please?  I'm sure it's nothing but I just thought I'd ask the question.

Thanks in advance!
Best wishes & take care, Kate xxconfused

My dog Eva, who is 11yrs old shakes. Its her back end that shakes, very fast and wobbly. I have had her at the vet and they said she's not in pain and a lot of older dogs do it. Im sure there was a thread on it before if you look back you may find it.
Hope you get to the bottom of Amber's problem smile.gif

Hi
In light of recent events with my Missy.  Might be worth asking for a blood glucose test (high or low blood sugars).  With my vet it only costs around £12.  Don't feed your pooch before the test so I'd go for an early morning appointment or a late appointment if you feed your dog in the morning.  I'd recommend an early appointment then feed after the test.  If nothing else it would rule out anything too serious like hypogycemia or diabetes.
