Announcing the 2007 GAL Virtual Dog Show
Permalink Closed

Announcing the 2007 GAL Virtual Dog Show.  We have lots of classes for you to enter your dog in. Or you can simply enjoy the photographs and vote for your favourite dog. Entries should be submitted by 15th July and voting will end on 31st July. The overall best in show will then be chosen by our celebrity judge Selina Scott.

The web site to submit your photographs will be available on the 1st of July so you have plenty of time to photograph your gorgeous hounds.

Open Classes (open to everyone)

How Cheeky is that
We know how cheeky our dogs can be, so show us their best (or worst) side.

Friends
Sometimes the strangest friendships occur. Great Danes and Yorkshire Terriers who are best pals. Show us your dog's best friend - dog, human, or otherwise.

To Pose or not to Pose
We all know that some dogs like to pose, while others run away from the shot. Show us your best posing dog, or camera avoiding dog!

Like Owner, Like Dog
Some people say my dog looks like me, or is it that I look like my dog? How do you match up?

Best Dressed Dog
No fancy dress - we want to see your hound spruced up in their best coat, collar, and lead combos.

Forum Favourite
Any dog, any pose, anywhere. This special category will be judged by members of the GAL online forum.

Greyhound and Lurcher Classes

Face In Focus
Greyhounds and Lurchers DO have the nicest faces. Let's show them off in this category.

Best Roach
We all know how our hounds like to snuggle down in bed, turn over and stick their legs in the air. That's a roach! Let's see who's hound best assumes the position!

Best Group
How many hounds have you got? Get all your hounds (and your friends and neighbours hounds) in a group pose!

Outward Hound
When not sleeping, the hounds like nothing more than an amble out of doors. Capture your hound outside - in any pose.

Hope to see lots of great photographs.

Claire

I asked very, very nicely, and Selina's very keen to help with animal rescue charities.

Cheers,
Graham

Dear Members
I have refrained from commenting upon the recent political events within this Charity for fear of upsetting anyone.  I am a fairly new to the Forum as a member, I have observed with interest allegation upon allegation. I am a writer, currently based in Glasgow and I spend a vast amount of my time at home writing articles late into the night.
The Polictics of this charity have turned into nothing more than a complete fiasco.  I did witness the political wrangling a few nights back which led me to make further investigations into the many allegations. I have now concluded my findings and I would seriously question many of the organisational aspects of this Charity past and present.  I am leaving to complete my ariticle based on my findings and I wish to take this opportunity to thank a few of the Members who welcomed me to the Charity and to all those who assisted me with my article.
A Member quite rightly pointed out that you just never know who may be reading this Forum.

??Maybe I'm being a bit paranoid, but I've googled Caryn Cooper, couldn't seem to find any articles that you have written, only reference I found was to a Doberman breeder/owner, perhaps you could point me in the direction of recent articles that you have written, as I would be interested to read them. I hope you are going to call your article dawning of a new day for the Greyhound Awareness League, and perhaps you should contact all the members to ensure you get all the jen on what's being going on.....
