I really don't know what to say about this story, especially the vets comments.  I thought that we now had laws to say that people had a duty of care to their animals.  This just makes a mockery of it and sets a horrifying precedent.

Drowning of puppies 'not cruel', court rules

This is a simple case of Animal Cruelty, the law and the vet can paint it any colour they like, but all they have done is given the green light to others that may be "annoyed or fed up" with their pet, pups etc to drown them. What utter fools. hmm Nora

If animal cruelty is punishable by law, and this man was not punished by law, does this mean that drowning puppies is not an act of cruelty to animals?????

"The law is an ass"!!!

ok so 10 day old puppies wont feel the pain of dying but 3 day old puppies are in agony when they get docked! i'm going to send this into the SKC and get them to reconsider the docking ban.
