Extraordinary General Meeting

Having closed the threads relating to the "Letter" - the committee has this announcement:

The E.G.M. will be held on Sunday 22nd of July 2007 at 11 a.m. at the Scottish SPCA, Bothwell Bridge.

This meeting will not discuss the past. This will be the Place & Time for members to discuss their views & opinions.

No changes to the Constitution have been made nor any attempt to do so will be done until this meeting.

A letter regarding this meeting will be sent out June 27-28th to all current members. Any member who has not renewed their membership by June 26th will not receive this letter.

However, should any valid member not receive their letter by at the latest 2nd of July - please notify Iluska or myself.

Thanks Linda,

I have not had an official memberhisp for GAL for the last year, but do give a monthly donation by direct debit. I'm sure I'm not alone in doing this, so can this count as being a member of GAL thus entiling me to attend EGM.

Well I'm happy to annouce that the EGM was a nice small event. The committee would like to thank the those that came to the meeting to voice their opinions and suggestions.

I personally felt it was a positive & productive meeting from which we the committee will now go and work on creating guidelines for the Committee to follow. This should help this committee and those that follow in adhering to "the spirit" of GAL and to look to the ongoing sucess of GAL.

Again thanks to all that came and all the input. The minutes will be worked on this week and an announcement will be made to the availability of them.

PS Since we have had our "time and place" for such discussions - I will be deleting all post/threads that lead up to the announcement of the EGM as it is time to start a clean slate for GAL. Tomorrow is a new and wonderful day for GAL - let's start it on a positive note!
