I'm off to Carlisle in the morning to pick up two new dogs, Bess and Bella. I'm awfy excited now, they are rescue dogs, a Bedlington X and a Beagle. Wish me luck and I'll post pics asap.
Well done and Good Luck I hope Cara likes her new pals (Do the new pals know one another?) Do let us know more when you get over the initial settling in period and are free to leave them for a bit. Em and Chad x
Bella and Bess are home, there wasn't a peep out of them all the way here. A very nice lady brought them from Yorkshire to Carlisle and after a quick toilet stop in the carpark of Tesco Carlisle, they hopped in to my car for the next two hours. They settled in no prob. had a wee bite to eat and a walk with Cara, then nosed around the garden/house for the rest of the afternoon. Rain stopped any good photo taking, but there is always tomorrow. They have never been house dogs, but there were no accidents today, they are in their custom built kennel and run, and look like they've been there all their days. We'll just take it a day at a time, while they get used to us, Bess loves men, so my hubby thinks she is great, she loves him. Bella is a real scent hound, she is like a manic sniffing machine, and never stops. Her tail is always wagging and she can turn on the charm like a pro. I'll post some photos the morra.
That's great news, Anne! Bella and Bess sound as if they're settling in already and sookin' in with hubby is a good idea. Looking forward to seeing photos of them and hearing how Cara is getting on with her new pals. I'm sure I'll catch up with you and meet Bella and Bess at some point.
Glad that the journey went well and that your new doglets seem to be settling in so well with you. Hope that the weather lets you take loads of pics soon. Eleanorxxxxx
