Who cuts/ trims your dog's nails??

Sorry Annette, I can't help. The vet cuts mason's dew claw anytime we're in and recently our daycare girl Sarah did it for me. Mason's other nails have never been clipped they wear down while walking.
You could ask your vet for a recommendation of a good groomer, they might know who's good!

Hi Annette,Rachel here,try the wizard of paws dog groomers,they have an excellent reputation,no. in phone book,or if your dogs don't mind having their nails filed you can buy a mikki nail file and do them yourself,i do ours with the file if they are not too long.hope this is helpful.

Hi Annette my vet does two of our dogs nails as Cas and Sasha ( who picked it up from Cas )freak out at the very sight of the clippers. Rag allows us to do hers no problem. Sorry I do not know of any one who does this, maybe your vet could recommend some one. hmm

Thanks for the info so far. We have tried the vet but not much use where nails are concerned, the dogs just about have fit when they see the clippers coming and seem to find it very painful. The previous groomer came to our home and used a dremmil drill nail file thing which the dogs didn't seem to mind and it is something like this I feel would suit them both. The dogs have black claws and it is difficult to find the quick. I love our vet to bits but they don't seem interested in nail care.Someone willing to come to our house like the last girl would be ideal, it didn't stress the dogs, Molly was so laid back she just lay on the back and let her get on with it, Doyle was nervous but 100% better than going to the vet.We would be prepared to travel if we couold get the right person. The previous groomer said lots of dogs find nail clipping painful it's something about the whole nail moving with the clippers and this dosn't happen to the same extent with the file.

Rachel's idea seems to be quite a good one if they prefer being in the house. If you did it yourself, they would get use to it and you wouldn't even have to do it for long if you gave them a quick file each day.
