We opened a pack of bacon for breakfast this morning and left it in the kitchen for about 10 seconds, but that was all Lulu needed, whole pack down the throat is one easy movement. little minx didn't even look guilty She is terrible thief, we should know better.

ROLL ON MARCH
We had a similar thing on holiday. We were doing breakfast in an unfamiliar kitchen, and as I faffed about doing mine Mrs Dodger pulled down the door to the grill, got out the grill pan, covered it with foil and laid out 4 slices of bacon. Meanwhile hound was quietly in the background. Well, getting in eveyone's way. I didn't think anything about it until I turned round and looked at the grill and saw only one rasher and a pair of very innocent eyes. I didn't quite believe it, because there was no noise of chomping, chewing or sooking, but he scoofed the three rashers without a sound. I pointed this out and Mrs Dodger couldn't believe it either, because the hound was right between us and we hadn't seen, heard or suspected a thing. I think he couldn't believe his luck and hopes for more holidays like it.
But what can you do if you leave stuff in their road?
I rememebr Mia (a good few years ago) ate 3lb of cooked mince that i had sitting on the worktop. Came home from work & discovered mince splattered all over the kitchen & was still finding it a couple of hours later, the cheeky beggar still ate her dinner that night too !!!!

I had to laugh -I've had a terrible thief sadly at rainbows bridge now. He used to go in the bin at every oppotunity. I still shudder to think of the ripped up tea bags especially nice on bare feet in the dark (uck!!!) Our Chad has a halo I'm sure - my boys have a bowl of choccies right next to his bed.He just ignores it, just wouldn't pass his lips. If you offer him human food he sniffs it and turns his nose up. We never have any worries about him stealing but suspect he is some kind of health freak. He doesn't even eat all his meals and sometimes leaves breakfast and dinner on the same day.He still looks good on his small diet, Em and Chad xx
Mason's most shaming moment of thievery came when we were at a GAL can collection in Livingston talking to a nice lady who had a small tot in a buggy. As we stood telling her why every home should have a greyhound I saw Mason, out the corner of my eye, calmly take the piece of bread her toddler was holding out of his hand and swallow it A few seconds later the toddler started crying and the mum, unaware he'd lost his snack, thought he was just frightened by the big dogs. I didn't fess up! He gets watched like a hawk near wee ones now, a shameless chancer Marie
i loved reading these and has made me realise what ive let myself in for. had a bit of a moment yesterday although gus didnt do it quietly. id left a small piece of cheese on a plate on the kitchen worktop, again not thinking. popped through to the bedroom only to hear said plate being rattled. came through, no cheese and dog in bed as if nothing had happened! note to self .. dont leave anything out of shut the kitchen door!
