Sammy was bumped by a car at the village, the person who had the unfortunate experience of hitting him took him to a vet in Glasgow,I ,haven't seen him myself as he has been moved to Jacquis,He needs bed rest I believe but does not seem to be too badly hurt, the lack of communication has been very stressful and upsetting, thank god someone had the sense to call Linda because we have heard nothing from any of the authorities whom we notified and kept in touch with, anyway alls well that ends well ,get well soon Sammy boy we love and miss you,you little b@@@@@.you owe us big kisses.
I wanted to try and post these as soon as possible so that everyone can get a chance to see Sammy is safe as I know that everyone has been so worried about him.
He was picked up from Cardonald SSPCA today and is here with me at the mo. He is under strict crate rest and has a bandage on one of his front legs - we are not sure what the wound is like, but he will be going to the vets on Monday so that we can properly assess him. He has a fair amount of scrapes and cuts all over and has a gash on his unbandaged front leg, so he must be pretty sore.
But he was his usual self in the car on the way home and had a good bark at a small doggie, so I'm thinking this is a good sign!
This is him resting in his crate with every blanket, dog, bed and quilt that I can find to pad it!
Awww bless, lets hope it's nothing too serious when he goes to the vets on Monday, keeping everything crossed for him. That looks like a very comfie crate

ROLL ON MARCH
Great to see him safe and snug as a bug, thanks for posting the pics, hope he gets on well at the vets on Monday, give him a gentle cuddle and kiss from us and Summer.
I am so glad Sammy is back safe with us, it must have been so stressful for Rachel and Eddie; The lines of communication really should be better but at least Linda got the call. Get well soon Sammy and well done Jacqui for keeping him comfortable just now. What a relief! Marie
Sammy seems to be ok. We got a look at the wound under the bandage and he's lost a chunk of skin about 4/5 inches long.
The vet hopes not to have to stitch it as the skin is so thin so he is going to look at it again on Thursday. Sammy is still on his antibiotics and metacam and he's having lots of nice dinners to keep his strength up!
I have also found him a wonderful foster home and he will not be going back into kennels, he'll be with me for a bit then he's off to his nice new foster mommie!
That is good news for Sammy, he is looking very sorry for himself but who can blame. Hope his wounds heal up quickly and he settles in well at his new foster home. Nora
