When asked if i would look after a dog while a friend went on holiday i accepted straight away as havng a dog free house for a while now leaves you hankering. I asked what kind she was i got a screwed up face and "well i dont know really she's a mix and i'm not sure of what they are in english but maybe a bit of greyhound?" Sounds good i thought. All was well til my lass casually mentions on the train to pick her up, oh she chews things, So now i have to try and dog proof my hall as i aint leaving her in the living room. so today we have taken a long walk and played with a few toys in an attempt to settle her and stop her feeling so bored and lonely?!?!?
Anyway i guess its pics you all want, she is a bonnie beast and feel free to guess the crosses in her.
She has HUGE ears
Nelli bought her a toy yesterday and a new collar today
Step one of stealing the sofa
Guess who is at home already and who has to sit on the floor
Getting the lay of the land from her new throne

My God, look how tidy your flat ishave you hired a cleaner. I can see bits of furniture and floor. I think there is a bit SKY dish in there What's her name
Check out the hounds from Spain, they seem to have cornered the BIG ear market, could it be her mother went on those club 18-30 holidays in the Spanish resorts
Hurrah, nothing chewed!! although she had pinched a pair of socks from the washing machine Dogs find comfort in the weirdest things at times!!
I just did a little googling and Wikipedia on Podenco's and she fits the description just spot on with regard to temperament, and with other things i have heard she fit the husky part also. Another mystery solved!!
As for mother nagging, this is not the first time its been done online nor the last i fear

Wow. did this dog come from Spain? We get loads of dogs that look like this and we always assume that they are Podenco/Husky crosses. We currently have Jo Jo who looks like she could be sister to your guest but we get loads of dogs like this.
She (Nika) was a rescue dog from Russia, she is so affectionate, i woke this morning at the very edge of the bed, her and my lass had managed to claim almost the whole thing! when i asked tother half to move over she just said i cant, Nika is there That didnt last! She certainly seems very smart. Last nights late night walk was a struggle to keep her in check as there was rabbits everywhere and somebody was keen to go and talk to them, i think she knew them all! However we have managed to improve her lead manners 100%
