Well, I can't believe it!! But, it is 7 years tomorrow since a little scared and unwordly 6 month old dog came to stay.
She came from Bothwell Bridge Animal Welfare Centre, after 15 years of nagging to be allowed a dog!! Yes 15 years. I could nag for Scotland!!
It has been the best time ever, and although I would love to be able to give another dog a home, Amber will not tolerate another dog in the house unless it is her 2 pals who are both King Charles Spaniels.
My contribution to GAL is to raise cash, which I will continue to do, of course.
Well, Amber has had a great day, which started with her dad taking her for a walk about 8.30am before her got ready to run round Strathclyde Park.
Amber goes round with Gus about 4/5 times a week, and she loves it.
Amber has asked me to let you know that the only downside to the day and if fact the week, is the cats which have taken up residence in the conservatory.
My son and his girlfriend have gone on holiday for a few days, and we are kitten sitting. The kittens are about 4 months old and very cute. We bring them into the living room for a few hours in the evening and keep Amber on the lead. But she is not happy about the situation.
I wil post some pictures of them later in the week.
Has anyone else been looking after another cat or dog recently? And how did your own beloved animal get on with it?
