This year's GUMVA Rodeo is on Saturday 26 April between 10am and 4pm.
It is held in the grounds of the Vet School on the Switchback in Bearsden.
It is a great day out and such an important one for GAL to be able to show off some of it's lovely dogs looking for homes. The past two years have been blessed with lovely weather and so it's fingers crossed for a hat trick!
The GAL shop will be in attendance and there will be volunteers on hand to answer any questions.
We will need help with setting up - and the inevitable packing up!
We also need help collecting dogs from kennels for the Homeless Hound Parade which is scheduled for 1pm.
If you cannot help witht he above tasks, then don't worry, just come along with your dogs and show them off!
If you are able to help out with anything on the day then PM me.
Mason and I are planning to head over as well, might as well get my boy acclimatised to weegie dogs I'v heard they're pure dead brilliant, by the way! Marie
I have just had a look at the GUVMA website and had a shuftie at the pictures.
Couldn't believe it!! There is a picture of yours truly from last year's event. Looking like I've been pulled through a hedge backwards. The dog I am standing with looks a million times better.
Please don't let that put you off going along on Saturday. apart from scary wummin, it's a good day out.
What a great day at the Rodeo. The weather didn't look promising to start with but it stayed dry and the sun even made an appearance! It was non stop greyhound talk to many interested folk. Homeless Trekkie showed what a friendly affectionate boy he is by snuggling into folk all day. The other dogs from the kennels - Lass and Baby Bud, also received much attention. Turned out a good day for Mickey who got a foster home.
