Id just like to thank all the volunteers who collected dogs from the kennels today; they thoroughly enjoyed their trip out to the park and all behaved impeccably. Adam a strapping big black boy had great fun meeting all the other dogs; he was bouncing for joy or perhaps its just that his neutering op is overdue.
Spring seemed to have finally arrived bringing with it warm dry weather; it was a busy walk today. Nice to catch up with some of the hounds we havent seen for a while; Dexter, Kai and Florence to name just 3. We had some new hounds along for the first time; a really fine boned brindle called Danny introduced himself, what a gorgeous colour he is.
Mason came along, and leaned on anyone standing still long enough to allow it and Summer brought along new baby Kai, who took all the attention in his stride (well pushchair to be honest) and slept through most of the walk.
Being at the Bothwell Pavilion car park always feels a little strange, sorry to those of you who got lost, glad you found us in the end. Hopefully well be back at our usual venue for the next walk.
I agree it was great to see so many happy hounds out today at the park. I was out with Treckie and our two Kiera and Lachie. Treckie managed all the way round the 6K walk and there were a good few including Treckie getting a well deserved kip when we returned them to their new kennels afterwards. It seems there's a bit of interest for new homes for a few of the dogs which is great news!!
Was great to catch up with folk and their dogs not seen for a while, and meet the new as well as those interested in the hounds. Good also to meet the dogs from the kennels brought along by the volunteers. I'm sure they enjoyed their day out
I thought it was a fantastic day - it was great to have so many dogs from the kennels at the park - we were able to take all but two and they all had a fab walk - the weather was great too!
We even had the gorgeous Moon one of our fosters put in an appearance - it was great to see him!
Thanks to those who came along to the kennels to pick up a dog - no doubt seeing the new foal and lambs was a treat too!!!
We all had a great time yesterday at the walk which was our first in over a year. Florence,Dexter and Kai had a busy time sniffing all the new dogs, so much so they have had to lounge in the sun all day today to recover.
It was a great morning. Mason and I came spur of the moment and didn't check the venue so of course we were at the wrong end, but there were quite a few and we all met up in the middle. It was great to catch up with everyone and see so many regular and new GAL supporters and, of course, the lovely dgs. Marie
