AMBERS DAY IN THE HILLS!
Permalink Closed

Whilst in Dunoon last week, my husband spent a day hill walking with Amber.

They were in the hills for 5 hours. Both were exhausted when they returned, but had a great day.

Thought you might like to see some photos of their day.

Goodness that looks very high! I'm glad Amber has a head for heights. She looks lovely and the views are stunning.

The photos are brilliant, Joyce! And the scenery is wonderful. I'll bet Amber crashed out on the couch when she got home.

She crashed out after I showered her as her tummy and legs wer filthy!

When she got off the settee later for a drink, she couldn't get back up as her back legs were stiff.

Was funny to see the look of astonishment on her face! She was walking all stooky legged!

She is a very fit wee dog, as I type this she is running round Strathclyde Park with Gus!

I on the other hand, am just about to get my second cup of tea and have a read at my book!

Gus is from the Isle of Harris and hills were where he spent his days as a child.

Stunning scenery and Amber looks right at home on the hilltops. No wonder you escape to Dunoon every chance you get.

Lovely dog. Collie whippet? Love the first two photos. Super scenery. It's certainly leaving the rat race behind up there!

Don't know what her mix is to be honest. Possibly a bit of Jack Russell, or so they thought at Bothwell Bridge when I got her. Sheds hair all the time and has awful plaque if her teeth are not brushed regularly.

Possibly some collie as she does the lying flat and then running up to dogs thing! But only that occasionally, as she is very selective who she approaches and can be a bit of a loner.

She does like male collies, so perhaps in her past a collie figured somewhere. Who knows! What I do know is that she is just the best dog since sliced bread.
