I am a rescue dog who loves her life my name is Janie and I have aked my mum to post a note for me, hope she makes a good job of it, got my reputation to think of!!! Just a wee reminder, now that spring has sprung and the temperature starts to rise about leaving your beloved hound in the car even for a couple of mins. As Greys have trouble with regulating body temperature anyway i makes them all the more at risk to the dangers of heatstroke. As you know the temperature inside a car can rise in minutes with fatal results even with windows open. Last year we had to call the police to a car with a hound in it, had been in car all morning, turns out the people had driven through for a day out and had decided to go shopping, thought the dog would be fine as windows open and had left little bowl of water, however dog was not fine and needed treated for heatstroke. I know your mums and dads are a sensible bunch and wouldn't dream of leaving you in the car, but if they see another dog in that position get them to keep an eye on the situation you might just save a life, or educate an owner. gotta go for my last pee now (yawn), doesnt my mum know its raining, i dont do rain!!
