Took them for a walk last night to local park, Jacky spotted another dog about half a mile away and froze rigid. Eventually managed to move him but when dog came to say hello he flipped up in the air, did a 360 degree pirouette and then barked his head off.
No problems during the night left them together in the living room but they seem to play at musical beds all the time. As soon as one moves off the 'best' bed the other one's on it, Mandy is not amused at all. When she went near Jacky who had just taken her bed he snarled at her, poor thing. Jack decided comfiest place to lie would be my 3 seater sofa, I think not. So as I was going to bed I put a few things on it to deter him but he just tried to sleep on top of them! Now have two huge laundry baskets on my couch? Still not went out and left them alone yet, scared stiff after they battled yesterday over a toy. Have taken your advice Carole and Fiona and put the toys away for a while to try and keep things low-key for a few days.
Will definitely have to use the water-pistol Jack has no manners / obedience at all but especially when it comes to food. Yep there's no doubt they both have the same dad, they've both inherited the "who ate all the pies" gene. Thought Mandy was greedy, he's ten times worse!
Glad to hear that things went well for the first night (sort of!). It's musical beds in our house too. Firstly, Pearly used to be miffed that Harry took the bed that she liked best - behind the sofa, where she can roach and hold onto the side of the sofa. Now, she gives him looks if she's left with that one cos she prefers the one nearer the radiator! Dogs, eh? You've got to larf.
She might not thank me for saying this, given that she's laid up at the moment, but your best possible resource is Carole (sorry, Carole, for creating work for you!) if you have any problems. We've been on the phone to her regularly since bringing Harry home and she's been FAB!
