Girls Who Pee and Those Who Don't

Hey Everyone

Just wanted to share some amusing observations about greyhound and lurcher girls.  ( Sorry for any insinuations re human Glasgow Girls.   I dont want taken to Court.

Recently I had the pleasure of fostering Sally ( now known as Kerra) for nearly two weeks. which group was she. One who pees? or One who doesn't pee.

The story begins on Hogmany 1992. I picked up my new dog. She came from Cardonald Dogs Home in Glasgow. She was  a black and white girl with some lurcher genes. She was vey underweight. Looking back I can see the greyhound genes. I brough her into my flat. She too k one look at the sofa jumped up, stretched out and rolled on to her back and rolled and rolled about with that look of pleasure - and I've landed alright here.

I called her Rosie. She was a typical Glasgow Scheme girl. Confident, brassy, loving, very aggressive when required, a wonderful thief who delighted running off with alook og glee on her face to raid the local bin stores.

She was not averse to picking up Yorkies and shaking them about. Some heart stopping moments for me.

Rosie joined - Raisa- the balck labrador girl who came to me when my mother died in December 1992. Raisa was a country girl born and bred. She had breeding and manners. I called her Lady Kelvindale.

Now Rosie was a girl who 'peed'. Especially after she was spayed. She would cock her leg up in macho style and let go. ( think she thought she was now a boy)  She would also 'let go' before she had crouched down and would get up in full flow. Raisa was very lady like! very discrete.

Now we come to the lovely foster girl Sally/Keera. She was a girl who did 'not pee'. When she first arrived - out we would go onto the grass. She would stoop down - but it looke as though she was sitting. I had to check closely that anything was flowing.

I'd been used to Rosie, Snap my greyhound and  foster greyhounds Suzie and Cleo. These girls jsut let go in the most indignified way. No concern whats so ever that people notice. Pee going in all directions. Thy would all get up before finishing. Perhaps the thought of grass tickling their bits was too much to take.

I know the boys pee all over the place, Previous post by others confirm that my foster boys are pushed to lift their legs, stoop down on all fours and pee on their legs etc

Now i don't want to dwell on the similarities with  human boys and girls. And once again apologies for the references to Glasgow Girls.

But any comments are welcome.

Charles

Hi Charles

We know exactly what you mean about Keera..she's a very refined young lady! Not only does she almost sit down to pee but after eating she also wipes her mouth! She must have been brought up in the country like Raisa!! Think we'll try and train Gambol to do the same...on second thoughts maybe not he's a typical messy boy!!!

Well - I know what you mean about Suzie - she starts off in a squat, but she does get up before finishing and waddles forward.  Perhaps it's her age - she needs to practice her clench (that's a girl thing).

And as for Sim - I was interested to note that other people must have reported their boys pee on their own front legs - Sim does that - how inept!  He does lift his leg (sometimes) and then wobbles around like a bad ballet dancer.

When Suzie first came to join us Sim was so excited to have a girlie in his garden, that when she squatted he was so desperate to mark the spot that he pee'd on her!!!!!!!  Poor Suzie!
