Im off to hang my head in utter shame but also thought you might like a wee look too, just in case, like myself, you have really important things to be doing such as course work/house work etc but are easily lead into any form of distraction....*doh*

Interesting site Suzanne! Guess obvious one is Guirmean meaning Blue one - bit of a mouth full though.

Have been thinking about the pup a lot too! Thought it might suit the name Baloo!

He is lovely - can't blame you for wanting to take him in.  I'd love to have him...wonder if he likes cats (and not for supper!)?.........

Ok, too many names to choose from but these are my favourites;

Duffy
Doyle
Flynn
Hagan
Begley
Gormley - 'cos it means blue

I could go on..but I won't!

I picked the name Zada for our grey, because I thought about origins - the greyhound originating from Egypt, and the language of Egypt is Arabic and 'ZADA' is arabic for fortunate one - which we thought was apt for a rescue grey - (ok ok I know it has nothing to do with blue) but i think its a lovely name for our lovely baby and different too!

As Suzanne has already told you guys, we chose the name Eilidh (pronounced Ay-lee) for our pupster, because it means 'noble'.

Quite a fitting name for a groo we thought and we are keeping our fingers crossed that when she's a proper grown up it will suit her better than it does just now!

OK, I give up! Have I missed something? WHERE is the blue pup I've not seen yet? He/she doesn't seem to be on the website...

Hi, Christine - the blue pup has long been and gone. He was fostered by Manda and Phil, renamed Spartacus, then rehomed and renamed Blue by his new family. Suz's original post was dated April. Just shows what a lot has happened since then!

Hi Fiona

Thanks - I realised that it was an older post after I spoke to Dave last night on the chatline. I didn't see the original post because my computer had crashed at the time and it took me a couple of weeks to get it up and running again. Also had a couple of beers last night which didn't help!!! As Suzanne sayd, "DOH!"

Just like to say Carol I have a daughter called Eilidh and I must say you have great choice in names. She doesn't like it much though as everyone always pronounces it Ellie or Elida and it drives her up the wall and I end up getting the blame for calling her that but I personally think it is a pretty name and sounds lovely

Yip, Eilidh certainly is a beautiful name.  If I had thought I would ever have a daughter then I probably would have kept it to name her.  However, as my little baba is the closest thing I think I'll ever have to a child, she got first dibbs.

I do sympathise with your daughter though...the name may be beautiful but it is certainly not the easiest to spell or say. Just wait till I get my next little girl dog and I call her something like Caoimhe (pronounced Kee-va).

Yes, I wanted something unique for Eilidh,my first daughter and after much thought came up with the gaelic name. Then followed plain David and Katie and I get told by 'her maj' that why did they get such normal names and she didnt. Teenagers eh? She probably sounds a nightmare but shes a great girl I dunno what I'd do without her.

And I'd never have guessed that Caoimhe was pronounced Keeva even with my gaelic history. Its a really lovely name

Sorry I've been such a gab but I could talk for Britain.
