I couldn't let Andie's third aniversary with us go unannounced. To be honest we didn't think we would have him a year when we first took him into our home. He was an old boy who had had a tough time of it and was absolutely crippled with arthritis. Comparing him now to his first photographs, he looks three years younger rather than older. However his old ticker has been playing up lately and who knows how much longer we will have him.

Happy anniversary darling Andie.....we'd love to have you for a few more yet.

Aww....thanks for all the lovely thoughts.

Lita, Andie is probably between 11 and 13. He was dumped in a nearby town 3 years ago. The local SSPCA centre took him in. We only had Zelda at the time and had no intention of taking on another greyhound.....but as we stood in a shop, a radio announced that the SSPCA had an old chap getting depressed in their kennel and we thought we'd give him a chance. How anyone could have deserted him, I dinna understand. He is so delighted with life you would swear he smiles! It is quite disgusting that he was denied the simple pleasures of love, food, a warm dry bed, basic medication and daily exercise. Its not that hard to give that to such an appreciative recipient as he is. We have had our ups and downs with him....especially with his prey drive.....but its been worth it.

And yes Dave.....he did get his pigs ear tonight...and now he's flat out on the couch, the air pungent with his deadly fumes

Happy anniversary for last Saturday, Andie. You know, when people are late in congratulating you, it's actually a good thing. Your mum has to buy you a pressie or give you a special treat every day that someone new mentions it!

Here's to loads more happy times.

Fiona
