Hi,Billy here

Just a quick update for any dog who's about to be fostered!
This is a great idea, this business of living with someone in a house rather than living in a kennel.
You get a nice warm dry bed to sleep in, nice food, lots of treats, and cuddles. Highly recommended to any of you guys who are lucky enough to find a temp or forever home!
I have a cracker of a mum, sorry that should say crackpot of a mum, who is busy trying to toilet train me! I know what to do, but I know I get hot dogs if I do as I'm told, so I comply with toilet training buisness, she has an endless supply anyway! Sometimes I just have to give her that look of mine and I see her reaching for a treat anyway! She is just a soft touch. There is a wee furry guy living here too, I quite like him, but sometimes he's afraid of me, but if I'm nice to him I get a treat! I'll have this new mum and her cat trained in no time at all. Anyway all potential foster dogs, go for it, its a great life, all you have to give in return is love and loyalty and we do that automatically!! Money for old rope as they say. Well guys, I'll need to get back into my bed before Mum realises I'm out of bed at this time of night, talking to you guys. Mum gets up really early, but I just pretend to be asleep, afterall she gets up at 5am, I don't do 5am - 9am is early enough for me!
Bye for now Billy

Hi Billy - what a talented boy you are!  It's great to hear how well you are settling in and how much you have your new family wrapped around your little paw!

Go easy on the hot dogs though - I've heard that hot dog addiction can be tough to kick!!!

Hey, Billy, sounds like you're doing just great.

Do me a favour, would you? Please come to my house and tell Harry and Pearly that getting up at 9am (especially on the weekend) is a very, very, very good idea!

Fiona

Hi everyone

Just a quick update to let you know how I'm doing in my foster home. I think I broke mums computer last time I used it and she hasn't been able to access much since.
I think I am 'house-trained', well I have the general idea anyway. Mum has given me a Surname now, its 'Leave'. She keeps saying Billy Leave, maybe she meant to spell it Leaf - who knows? Mum put a coat on me today, which I thought was a bit much considering its summer, but then I discovered it was raining and I was expected to go for a walk - no way man - I soon showed her, I don't do rain.
I have been given loads of things called toys, and I have stolen a few of the wee furry things toys too, but I hide his in my bed so that he can't get them back.
I do love all the lady dogs round here and I even a couple of the boys too. Uncle Dave said I was the 'Only Grey in the Village' What did he mean?
I will be attending some of the GAL events over the next few weeks and I look forward to seeing you all and your owners of course! Tell them not to pat my head, but they can scratch under my chin.
Bye for now Billy x

Hi Lesley,
I just lie down and put on my 'little boy lost' look, not used to people touching my head yet, but mum keeps doing it, so I'm getting a bit better now.
You should see what I do when someone rubs my tum!!
See you soon
Billy x

Hi Billy

I'm really looking forward to meeting you at one of the events. I promise not to pat your head if you don't want me to. But I'll rub your tum to see what you do and if you let me, I'll give you a nice hug. It's wonderful that you're getting on so well. Well done, wee man!

Christine
