Thought I would give you an update on wee Barney's life with the Flintstones!! He's been sooooo good! Clean kitchen every morning! He's had only 2 accidents in the house, which have been wee's - much easier to clean up than poo!
He's starting to respond to his name, which is brilliant. Although it's hard not to say his name when telling him off! We've had to drum it into the kids not to shout his name when he does something wrong!!
Up until Saturday he was still trying to hump Freddy whenever Freddy got excited. Why "up until Saturday"? Well, they had a BIG fight on Saturday morning. I have never in my life heard a noise like it! There was plenty of snarling, growling and snapping (poor Chas got stuck in a corner and was worried he was going to lose a leg!), then the crying starting. Freddy had caught Barney's side. Fortunately Barney still has his thick kennel coat or I'm sure Freddy would have broken the skin! Since then ........ well, Freddy can get as excited as he likes and Barney isn't interested! I think they really needed to talk through their problems
Here's a picture of the 3 of them suffering:
And here are the two boys shortly after their "spat"
I can't believe he's only been here for just over a week. He's already very much part of the family and we love this little boy to bits. He will be making his first public appearance (as Barney!) on Saturday at Happenden - he will be representing the Flintstones, along with his dad! Stop and say hello, he'll just love the attention!!

Lovely to hear the progress of Barney and his new siblings. So glad they are still friends after their wee scrap - great picture. Indeed, great pictures!
Glad your boys have sorted themselves out and Barney is settling in well. The photos are marvellous - it looks like they're taking turns at being next to the radiator! Home comforts - can't beat 'em!
Amazing that they'll bed down together like that so soon. Pearly and Harry won't although they are getting sort of closer - by millimetres! They are having more "barneys" these days as Harry gets excited when Pearly teases him, the chase starts and it ends in snaps and barks and growls. Pearly is starting to get stuck in a bit more on the retaliation which is good - no blodd as yet!
Glad you two are doing well by th eloks of it - sure you gots loads more fun on the horizon!

I suppose it would be home comforts if the radiator was actually switched on!!!!
The best spot seems to be in front of the dishwasher - Freddy and Wilma have argued over this spot for ages. Have no idea why! Barney on the other hand just sleeps where there's a space!

We set out as we meant to go on - the same thing happened when we first brought Wilma home! Freddy was spoiled (a tiny bit) as the only dog and was allowed to sleep on one of the chairs - the one that was rarely used! - but that all stopped when Wilma came along. There were two beds in the kitchen and it was up to them to sort out who slept where. There was the occasional barney (if you excuse the pun!) but we left them to sort it out!
One of Sharon's friends said we were very brave to leave all three dogs in the kitchen together on their first night. Sharon's response was "kill or be killed" - never heard a peep all night or any night since then!
Yes, we need to start buying lottery tickets I think and then we can buy Flintstone mansion!! O and a transit van for the dogs!!!! I would feel bad having a dog called Betty though as that's my neighbours name!!!!!!!!
