Trei my foster hound is not averse to a few slurps out of a pint of lager!!!!!
I've just discovered that Cleo is quite taken with slurping some of my red wine out of a wine glass. She came back for more few minutes after I chased her away.
Ours will drink most things left in a glass if they get the chance but now they are on the wagon I eckon chicken stock is their favourite non alcoholic drink.
And they are particularly partial to Onken natural Bio yogurt.
Dusty (lurcher) - goes finishes the dregs of the kids cocoa cups left on the landing Missy, dusty, charlie & max all love coffee Dusty, max and missy all love the odd taster of cider (would take more IF my husband neglected the pint !!!)
All of them like to tipple in the most green, stagnant, standing water in the garden but the thing is they ALL pass by their nice fresh water bowl to get into the garden!
But the best tipple is drinking from the barrel water feature with a hint of fish !!!
I left my glass of milk in the lounge when I went back to the kitchen because I'd forgotten something. I couldn't have been gone any more than 10 seconds, but when I returned half my glass of milk was gone! Vegas was in his bed, gazing at the wall, so it couldn't have been him, could it? The dead giveaway was the milky moustache and milk dripping off his whiskers! A definite case of "It wizny me".
Vegas is also partial to the most stagnant water he can find, preferably with a lot of mud in it and any kind of yoghurt. He hasn't tried beer as far as I know - probably because we don't leave our full beer glasses lying around when we're not there.
My two like anything they can get their slobbery chops into. Ribena, water, milk, orange juice, cold tea, fruit smoothie - in fact, anything unattended is fair game!
Pearly has been known to have a slurp of wine when my back is turned. The cheeky minx waited till I was out of the room, scuttled over to the table, checked over her shoulder to make sure I was still safely out of sight, then had a few slurps before scampering back to her bed with her tail wagging away like billyo. Little did she know that Steve was watching the whole thing through the livingroom windows! The madam!
