Hi Folks, this is more of a request rather than an urgent appeal. GAL rehomed a lovely rough coat lurcher girl called TESS 2 years ago, she'll be around 5yrs old now. TESS lives in Paisley with her owner and her owners elderly mum, as her owner works full time the mum looks after TESS during the day. Sadly the mum had taken ill and will begin treatment for cancer this Monday (25th) understandably she won't be able to care for TESS during the day, I'm cutting a long story short I'm afraid due to other circumstances and factors. The bottom line is the owners have asked GAL if there's any way TESS can be moved into a foster home for 1 month (possibly 2) while the mum undergoes and recoveres from her treatment. I'm afraid we don't think TESS would do very well in kennels and a dog walker / doggie daycare is not an option due to there other factors.
If anyone can offer TESS a nice little holiday home for a few months please get in touch and I can explain things in a bit more detail...email david@gal.org.uk
Hi Shirley, yes we got Tess into a 'temporary' foster home, she's still there at the mo, actually it's turned into a 'permanent' foster home now. I did mention 'other factors' in my initial post and it seems they were playing a bigger factor in the Tess situation that I was led to beleive, anyways cut a very long story short TESS is now available for adoption...
