im gonna whisper this so that i dont cause Maisie any undue embarrassment...

this week i have been checking Maisies spay stiches twice daily to ensure all was well (& slathering it in aloe vera gel to keep it from becoming tight, itchy & irritated- works a treat btw)....but ive noticed that she has a fair few little white head spots in her groin area - ive never noticed murf to have these - could it just be irritations from sand (take them to the beach at least 3-4 times a week) that are causing them??

anybody elses dogs get little whiteheads from time to time??

Suzanne,

Luca doesn't suffer from whiteheads, but suffers from blackheads instead!!  He's not got much fur on his tum and I'm sure that he gets them from sploshing about in mud etc.  I spoke to the vet about it before and apparently you can get a wash for your dogs skin that works, I guess, in a similar way to Clearasil.  The vet, however, didn't think that Luca's were bad enough to need any.

I always thought he was like a stroppy teenage boy..he even has skin like one!

I meant to post an answer to this donkeys ago - discovered, through a lecture at college, that the whiteheads Maisie got post spay were simply due to her hormones suddenly changing levels after her op....no re-occurance since...

so - just like a teenager as Carol said....
