They love me, They love me not?

John and I are having a half hearted dissagreement at the moment!  When I come in from work or being out the dogs let me come in the house with not to much fuss or noise.  On the other hand when John comes in the house, its a riot!!  Barking , running around, carrying on with each other.  I say its because I'm the BOSS, John says its because they love him MORE!!!  That really took the wind out my sails  I WANT TO BE LOVED!!!!

I wouldn't let it worry you too much....exactly the same thing happens in my house.  Even if Iain has only been out for 5 minutes he gets a rapturous response when he comes in.  I, on the other hand get a tiny tail wag and if I'm really lucky, the dogs will get out of bed to say. 'hello.'

It used to bother me greatly, but now I just think myself lucky that I don't get the giant groo scratches down my chin and chest, nor do I get Whistler head-butting me in the genital area.

Some things are definitely not worth having.

It's exactly the same in our house!! Jim can hardly get in the door as they are so excited but when I come home from work they ocassionally come over with a tail wag but usually I'm lucky if they raise their heads at all!!

Oh dear where does this leave me?????  Some days Mac hardly bothers to lift his head off MY pillow to greet me, sometimes, its appears to be an effort for him to lift his eyelid!  Some days though, he comes running up to me with the biggest smile you have ever seen, wagging his tail, and looks really pleased to see me, but this is just a disguise........I have come to learn this means 'on no she's back and she is about to discover I have shredded the toilet roll again, so I'll try and distract her for a few mins'.

But the best is always saved for Denzel (the cat, he is always greeted warmly by Mac who wags his tail, gets a smile and a kiss, even the cat is confused.

I'm mobbed by our lot when I get back from work but it's really only because they know they will be getting fed soon!

My husband Ian gets mobbed by all the dogs.

Max fetches the nearest item to present to him wagging tail very hard (usually Dusty's dinner bowl)
Dusty jumps up and punches him in the nether region
Missy rams him with her long pointed nose either or in succession - into his backside or nether region
Zak rubs into his thigh or between his legs to have an itch.

Errrrrrmmmmm !

Same for me I think - only LESS painful !!!
