Steve got up to see to Harry and Pearly one morning and this was the site that met him. As you can see, the wee buggahs had been having loads of fun with the contents of the bin! And in the right hand corner of the bottom piccie is the piece de resistance - a great big turd. Thank goodness for the "finders cleaners" rule in our household.
Thankfully the poo is an unusual occurence and was due to a sore tummy. But needless to say, the bin is now removed from the kitchen when we're not there to supervise....
Unsurprisingly, that looks like a familiar kind of mess. I know very well the 'lets empty the bin routine'.I love to find tea bags everywhere! We had to keep our bin on the worktop in the end. Strangely, Tiger and Chad do not touch it, it is nice to have it back on the floor!
Charlie the one I recently lost singlehandedly made such a mess one day that I thought I had been burgled! Door frames were ripped off,Skirting boards chewed away from the wall, Carpets scraped up, the corner of a worktop chewed, stuff was everywhere and the best bit he ate 17 Easter eggs!(We had the mess out the other end the following day!) I was worried sick that he would die from chocolate poisoning (my husband did not care, he was furious!). Luckily a friend suggested getting another dog, Tig, this is when things calmed down.
I will have to adopt your'e finders cleaners policy Em x
Oh dear Fiona & Steve - first thing in the morning too!! I take it you don't have a nice big cupboard in the kitchen you could put the bin in?!! We have a dinky little bin that sits inside a kitchen unit - needs empting frequently but at least its us that does the emptying!! (although I know some hounds are clever enough to open doors)
Emma, your findings brought tears to my eyes - I hope you didn't have that all the time
I know what its like, but luckily the only damage we've had done was during the build up days to fireworks night last year when Tyler was so frightened and stressed, at least we feel more prepared this year.
