Well George and Maia are home at last! We picked them up yesterday and they are settling in really well.
Obviously they are very excited about anything and everything in the house, but they are learning the rules quickly (Maia more quickly than George!). We had a much better first night than we had anticipated with hardly any squeaking. The only problem was that George really wanted to come up to bed with us rather than sleep in the hall. After applying all the rewarding methods and a bit of Supernanny's 'stay in bed' method, we resorted to puting the clothes dryer across the stairs which worked a treat!
They went for a nice run this morning in the dog enclosure at Bellahouston park and they are now lying spark out in their beds!
I was going to try and send some photos but even taken on 'basic' quality, the photos are bigger than 510kb, so the forum won't let me post them. If anyone knows a way round this, please let me know.
Great news. Sounds like they are in good hands! I look forward to hearing about their exploits..
If you get stuck for a solution to the picture thing let me know. I'm sure that someone with more experience in the group can help you to find a more elegant way but you could email the pics to me and I can reduce the file size in Photoshop. I usually keep the quality high with my originals and then compress the image which seems to work well...
Good luck with the twins! Give us a shout if you will ever be over Edinburgh way and fancy a walk with Malcolm...
Hi Guys, well all I can say is the very best of luck with G&M, I can't tell you how glad I am that you've finally got them now. Please keep in touch and I do hope you can make it along to some GAL events in the future!!..
Delighted that G&M are home with you and that their first night went well. Looking forward to hearing more about them and their adventures. Lots of luck
Glad to hear George and Maia are settling in well. They are a couple of crackers and will no doubt bring you endless hous of fun and love.
I last saw them the night before you picked them up at Rachel and Eddies as we were transporting a pooch back to his owner and I got the usual lovely welcome from them!! Here's to many happy years together
Shirley
