Well folks thats our AGM done and dusted for another 12 months, big thanks to everyone that turned up, your input and support as always are much appreciated!...
Well the figure you've all been waiting for was announced...sadly I didn't make the 200 target I set at the start of the year for dogs homed.....The final number of dogs homed by GAL in the last 12 months was 192. That figure consisted of 109 Greyhounds and 83 Lurchers. Not a bad effort I have to admit, for a small charity like ourselves to manage and home more that 1 dog every 2 days is quite an acheivement!
The other important bit about the AGM today was the announcement of the GAL committee and important jobs for the next 12 months. I'll post this list in the 'helpful information' section of this forum for reference but here goes anyway with the 'important' GAL peeps for the next 12 months..
Finally we've set up a small sub-committee who will be taking over the organising and running of the Kennel Fund, these are Carol Jack, Tracey Paul & Sheila Mculloch no GAL emails set up as yet!)
well thats it then, lets hope for a very successful next 12 months....
Congratulations on a wonderful 192 dog rehomed this year! I know it's not quite the 200 target, but that's still an incredible number of dogs in safe, warm, happy new homes. Well done!
Forgot to say: good luck to the new GAL committee for 2005/06. Your minions serve you as best we can......
