....add a couple of guinea pigs. One of my girls has a birthday this week and for the last year has been adamant that she wanted guinea pigs, so because I wasn't allowed pets as a child (boo, hoo) we now have the guinea pigs, the greyhound, the cat (our other cat passed away a couple of months ago) and the fish (other fish died in the October hols - we're having a bad run of it). You're wondering why I'm wittering on about guinea pigs now - it's to do with the guinea pig in greyhound's mouth incident!! Forgetting that JJ (dog) was kipping in the same room, I went into the cage to adjust the water bottle - next thing JJ has a guinea pig in his mouth and is wondering what to do next. To his credit he dropped it when I yelled "leave it". JJ was ejected from the room pronto, guinea pig caught and thankfully found to be none the worse for her unusual experience. In fact, the gp was probably less disturbed than both me and JJ! So, with JJ eyeing up the cage from his bed and the cat sneaking in to try and sit on top of the cage, life is a lot less boring!! I suppose they could live in the garage but I might forget all about them if they are out of sight so thank goodness for the water spray...
Yup life takes an interesting road when fuzzies things are put in the mix! I did have rats which were eyed up as snacks, then one got his revenge........ Florence was told many a time to leave, but wouldn't listen. So one night when we were out she tried to get them, only to have her nose sliced/bitten. We thought the dogs had been fighting when we got back, cos it was like a massacre scene. Needless to say she has been cured of her fuzzie interest.
hmm, dave (definitely) and daisy (possibly) would be no good at all with small furries in the house. so, we have just set up a tropical fish tank and will be introducing fish next week.
also, we have a Roboraptor.......... dogs were so funny to start with, they just stood and stared at it, not sure quite what to do !! they've now got used to it and just ignore it when it's walking around and growling !!
I can just imagine the look on their wee faces when they saw it for the first time, it would have been brilliant if you had the camera ready at the time.
