Well, that's another successful course finished for 2005.
New classes for novice and advanced dogs will resume on the 19th Jan 2006. For information and application forms contact Dave at GAL or Viv 0141 646 5858.
*Well, four people have been inspired enough to email me straight after the show to reserve a place on the next course. One person doesn't even have his dog yet!!!
Viv - do you know of any sympathetic trainers through the East coast?? I have had my fingers burnt when Murf was a pup - signed him up to an 8wk puppy class but the trainer guy really didint have the time of day for us - he would greet every dog enthusiastically apart from us - we would get a 'hello trouble' & that was it. Murf was no trouble in the slightest but the guy couldnt cope with him not having good brakes, or being able to sit (despite murf being flat on his side for every sit command & was by far the easiest dog for stay - i could have walked out the building, round the block & he would have still been spread eagled on the floor when i came back (at 6mths of age!) - we were failed the class cos he wouldnt SIT - even tho i explained til i was blue in the face that greys dont sit (murf slept) .....
Im a little reluctant now to sign Maisie up for obedience classes as the very last thing in the world she needs is to have a teacher that doesnt understand her...any suggestions would be much appreciated. I live in Edinburgh, but am willing to travel a maybe hour round journey of a week evening....
PM me if its easier. Thankyou in advance.

Graham Cameron came out to see us shortly after we got our little rogue (Ozzy). He was superb with Ozzy, and us!
If I'm thinking of the right guy, Graham works closely with The Dogs Trust (hence his visit) and is very patient and sympathetic to dogs with "histories". He gave us some brilliant advice and if we lived closer, we'd definately see him again.

hiya - all his classes are full until January - hes gonna contact me then to let me know but he normally does a class on a WEdnesday morning at Oxgangs in Edinburgh, otherwise it will be evening classes (not sure which day of the week yet, or what time) out in Livingston somewhere. Sorry - not a huge help - give him a call tho so he can put your name on the waiting list - would be lovely to have a fellow Grey there!
Several people have PM'd me aswell to thoroughly recommend Graham!
