Clever Greyhound or Stupid Husband!
Permalink Closed

Scene 1

Family room - Husband stretched out on very large couch.

Mum, two daughters and old collie scrunched up on other couch.

Greyhoud sleeping contentedly on rug on floor!!

Scene 2

Greyhoud looking pleadingly at husband to be let out for a wee.

Husband rises, heads to door mumbling, "you better not be kidding Sophie" (soft tee hee's coming from full up couch)

Door opens, greyhound takes one step out - heads straight back in, long jumps onto empty, but warm couch, stretches from one end to other and plays dead.

Scene 3

Loud guffaws of laughter from full up couch - husband looking pleadingly for little space to sit on to cries of, "nae chance".

Scene 4

Husband of floor!!

Don't feel too sorry for Hubby - learned his place a long time ago in a house full of girlies!!  It's amazing what a little training can do.

very clever greyhound!

daisy does something similar.........whines for a wee at 2.30am......mum gets up and lets her out.  we go back upstairs and dad decides he needs the bathroom.  mum gets into bed, daisy gets onto bed (where dave has been installed since much earlier).  dad comes back from bathroom and finds no room in the marital bed so trots off to spare room.

nice !!

I sorted this problem out a long time ago.
No husband.(thank )
One 4 seater sofa for Angus
One 3 seater sofa for Jenna and me.
No pleadings for late nite pees, everybody happy and comfy and the cats fit themselves around us.
Blis, blis, blis

Sympathy for Rhonas husband!!

I thought I had it sorted out in this house too! I bought two large leather sofa's for the dogs...they didnt sit on them..too cold? Bought two large fleece throws, no, too warm? Bought large donut style bed...not too keen, so bought another fleece...ah comfort at last.  Now they can flit between the sofa's and the bed.  No wrong!! Last night, Mac transformed my double bed into a 'double donut' bed, with pillows placed strategically for maximum comfort.  I went back into the lounge...cat sleeping on one of the large sofa's I'll stretch out on the other one for 10 mins, relax before bed.  No, wrong again....woke up at 5am with alarm ringing in the bedroom, complete with the cat lying ontop of me!

At the end of the day, it doesnt seem to matter what the ratio of beds/sofas to GH's is, you still end up on the floor at some point, as it seems to be the only place you can get some room!!

Dawn......presently perched on arm of chair as all other avaiable space, except floor, is taken up!!
