Having made a couple of posts today, realised that I haven't introduced myself!

I live in Aberdeen (though am from Edinburgh) with my OH and 2 ex-racers, Oscar and Petra, aged 8 and 7 (both dogs from GRS). I work a 2.5 day week as a Job Share in the city art gallery but my true passion is the furry needle-noses!!

I adopted Oscar over 3 years ago, he's a big brindle lad, was very nervous and still is rather highly strung at times, but loooooves all people (especially men), although came to me with a fear aggression problem toward dogs that he doesn't know. This includes other greyhounds, so I don't know what may have happened to him. We've worked on his problems a lot and he's now calm around well behaved dogs. The poor lad also came to me with a bad racing injury to his front wrist and is badly arthritic in both front legs (suffered arthritis ever since I got him aged 5 )...I think he was on flapping tracks, as no race record for him. He's a real cuddlemonster and has in the past year or so started beating Petra in the race of who gets to sleep in the human bed at night!

Petra is a little minx - another brindle, full of character and quite a lot of naughtiness compared to Oscy She is mistress of counter-surfing and even after 2.5 years, still manages to pinch stuff from the kitchen. She's a real sweetie, but needs a younger man to round around with!

Wish I could post piccies of them, but seems to be a tricky thing on here, so it'll take me a while to work it out!
