Saw this in the Record yesterday ,at last a record can be kept of all people banned from keeping animals and as long as the govering bodies do it right it should work.

As Nora says, if this is co-ordinated correctly, it could help prevent further cruelty to animals by the same people. I agree with some of the senior police officers in the Herald's article, who believe that those capable of cruelty to animals can go on to commit horrendously cruel acts on other, more vulnerable people.

I really hope this makes a difference in the future.
