Billy got a full dental at the vet today. The vet told me there would probably still be some staining on some teeth, but I was shocked at how white and pearly his teeth now look! And, despite my concerns over one of his back teeth in particular, he didn't need to get any teeth removed! The vet told me his gums were unaffected by the build up of plaque, and this was lucky, as that is when problems can start.
But he was a good boy, everyone at the surgery was pleased with him, and he almost made it out without causing trouble... He decided to start doing his cheeky puppy act when the receptionist turned a padded glove into a rabbit puppet and tried to make him chase it...
After a short walk, a tasty dinner and getting back into a clean bed he has finally stopped fighting off sleep. Not sure who is happier: me to have him home again or him to be home again.
Lucretia, so glad to hear Billy's dental went so well & he now has a pearly smile
You may have read my posting about Tyler's teeth under the Health section (Plaque & Gingivitis). The dreaded plaque has affected her gums and she will be heading for her dental soon in the new year. Also in the same thread there's suggestions of how to fight off the dreaded plaque
