Hi Folks, well as we get into 2006 the inevitable has happened, GAL have taken on 9 new dogs THIS WEEK, teach me to rest on my laurels so to speak. We're struggling to cope with these new arrivals but are managing, fraid the 10th new dog has tipped us over the edge and as it's vitally urgent the dog is moved ASAP I need to put out this urgent foster appeal.
BESS is a 3yr old female Greyhound, she was found by a member of the public a few days ago tied up on a motorway, from her condition it's obvious she's had pups recenty. As it's blatantly obvious she was dumped she's not been reported to the police as we normally do when dealing with strays. The member of the public that found Bess can't keep her any longer and has asked GAL to remove her ASAP, there are other factors which necessitate her removal that I can't mention here (but nothing to do with Bess!!)
If anyone can help out please get in touch with me - david@gal.org.uk - thanks again for listening.
Just when things were going so well, I can't believe how many dogs you have dealt with already this year! I really hope someone helps you out with Bess very soon!
Oh God, poor thing - tied up on a motorway, she must have been terrified. I only wish I could offer, but not possible at the moment, until I move somewhere with a garden (I'm working on it!)
what a beautiful girl. i so wish the person who tied her up could suffer the same fate. her photo makes her look so trusting, which is amazing, considering her recent treatment - and she must be missing her pups too.
