Some of you may have seen the picture of Vernon in the Face in focus section of the dog show so I thought I'd better tell you more.
He came to live with me at the weekend and has settled in really well, he already tolerates Jasper. They were both sitting on the sofa with me last night.
He hasn't had a great few months but I think he is glad to find his new home and sofa. There is just about enough room for me on it now.
Him and Ziggy get on well. Mainly because Ziggy is so laid back and takes no notice of Vernon. They walk really well together when out, although I'm still trying to master the 2 dog poo pick up technique. Also Ziggy stole Vernon's bed on the first day. Obviously fake leopard print fur isn't good enough anymore.
He is much more active than Ziggy around the house and loves looking out the window. It would take a bomb to get Ziggy off his bed.
He is such a lovely guy and I'm so glad I took the chance and brought him home.

Who said cats and greyhounds can't live together???

Hi Jenny,

Great news that Veron is getting on so well!  You have such a big heart - I know you always had a soft spot for Vernon.

He is quite a bouncy boy despite him being a bit older -  Great that he's got your sofa now lol  and a view out!

Ziggy is such a great guy  - I can just imagine him trying out Vernon's bed. It's so funny to see them swap.   'Your bed is better than my bed

What a lovely sight to see.  The gorgeous Vernon relaxing in the lap of luxury.  So much nicer than looking at him through those awful iron bars!  You have a heart of gold and I wish you all lots of luck.

He looks just great in his new collar too!

Oh well done, Jenny! Vernon was such a sweetie at Bothwell when I took him out - I'm really delighted that you're giving him a chance. He's such a big bouncy boy and I'm sure he and Ziggy will sort their bedding arrangements out ASAP. Hope to catch up with you soon when I get back from down south.

Vernon is definitely a permanent fixture Suzanne. I couldn't bear to let him go. I think he's been through enough, and has settled in so quickly. All my boys happy together. Everybody say Awww!

Hi Jenny

What a great photo of Jasper and Vernon having a good nosy out the window! Something has definitely caught their attention. It's great that Vernon is settling in so well with you - and it looks like he and Jasper have something in common!

Love the photo of them all and it is so fab to see Vernon and Jasper together looking out of the window. He looks really contented already (I can see the attraction he looks just like my Chad who follows me everywhere!) Two dog poo pick up is tricky at first, as is two dogs occasionally! At least I take it yours don't both go mad on the lead, at the very sight of a cat!!!

Happy walking Em,Tig and Chad xx

Jenny,

Vernon is a double for Lulu.   Do you have his pedigree or registered name?

Well done for taking him into your home and heart.

Regards,

Alan.

Hi Alan

Vernon is on greyhound data site. Just search for dogs and put in the name No Blocks.
